Federal law prohibits the use of union dues to pay for political activities in an association and, therefore, contributing to CNTA’s PAC is strictly voluntary.
Through your PAC voluntary contributions our committee is able to work together with the Labor Coalition (fire, police, city workers, and CSEA) to help keep our members informed of local races that will affect our communities and schools. A portion of the contributions are also used to support political candidates who have pledged to advocate on behalf of our students, schools, and members’ rights to negotiate a fair contract that protects and benefits all members.
